Battle eld Location Management Applications of SHAMAN

چکیده
EEective management of battleeeld networks requires a hierarchical network management architecture wherein managers can dynamically delegate management tasks to intermediate managers. In this paper we describe a novel framework called SHAMAN-Spreadsheet-based Hierarchical Architecture for MANagement-which extends the traditional at SNMP management model to a hierarchical architecture. We describe in detail the scripting language and event model used by SHAMAN, and illustrate its use by an example of location management in a tactical battleeeld scenario, which has been implemented by us.
